CBSE UGC NET 2017 detailed notification released at cbsenet.nic.in

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a detailed notification and exam date for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test 2017.

As per schedule, the examination will be held on January 22, 2017.

On behalf of UGC, the CBSE conducts the examination for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for a number of posts, including: Assistant Professor, junior Research Fellowship & eligibility for Assistant Professor.

Eligibility criteria:

The candidates should have acquired a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised university or institute. The candidates who have appeared or will be appearing in the final year or whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test.

Age limit:

Junior Research Fellowship: The maximum age of the candidates should be 28 years.

Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for those who are applying for Assistant Professor.

All the candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in all the three papers will consist of only objective type questions.

Further, the candidates who get qualified for the award of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject during post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor post.
