Hand Crafted with Care
Every batch of Sweet Beauty products is hand crafted by founder, Lisa Francoise. Her expertise and experience as an esthetician and spa chocolatier guide the selection of every ingredient. Only the best, natural skincare ingredients (many of which you will never find on the labels of other products) are added in expert combinations to create the various products available, from scrumptious sugar scrubs and milk baths, to luxurious body creams, lotions and our newly launched sweet Baby line.
We start with a base of organic fair-trade certified chocolate and cocoa butter, sourced from Theo Gourmet Chocolate in Seattle, Washington. Chocolate and cocoa butter based skin products are rich in natural softening glycerides and fatty acids, providing deep moisture and protection for the skin.
Not only do we craft every batch of Sweet Beauty product by hand, we also guarantee that our products are made from 100% natural ingredients, obtained from responsible sources and preserved naturally. Our products contain no parabens, pthalates, sulfates, fragrances, artificial colors, synthetic emulsifiers or silicones. All of our lotions go through bacterial testing for safety, just to be certain. We believe our products are so safe, we test them on our friends and loved ones.
Chocolate: A Decadent Ally
Because we use premium, organic, fair trade chocolate instead of chocolate by-products to formulate these aromatic blends, Sweet Beauty products are simply superior to the rest of the marketplace. Chocolate has multiple chemical compounds that make it unique, and dark chocolate is higher in antioxidants than both green tea and wine. The benefits of eating a daily dose of dark chocolate include lower blood pressure, mood elevation, weight control, and anti-aging properties. Chocolate is composed of many compounds that make it a healthful treat, but it is the phytonutrients that make an anti-aging power player. It’s easy to forget that chocolate is made from the seed of a plant — which is the source of these incredible attributes. Chocolate’s phytonutrients, more specifically flavonoids, are biologically active nonnutritive compounds that have protective, disease-preventing properties. Phytonutrients are associated with the prevention and treatment of cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and hypertension. Our bodies cannot store phytonutrients so it is important to absorb them regularly.
